Great service

Dear John,

Thank you for taking the time to post this review and for your positive feedback.

Lucky enough to try this is in a tweet tasting last year. Bought shortly afterwards. Nose: Mild smokey peat, white pepper and sea breeze. Taste: salty, smokey, vanilla, peppery, spicy (i like this a lot). With water brings out more of that vanilla.

Dear Alasdair,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this review and for your kind words. I am delighted you enjoyed our Tweet Tasting and are enjoying this Orkney malt.

Nuts, Pepper and sea air

This is my kind of dram, a real favourite and a tonic from all the sherry finishes around at the moment. At first white pepper, bitter nuts and at times not quite ripe fruit. A dash of water and the fruit and nuts soften and open up beautifully. Massive length on the palate of stone fruits such as apricot and the ever present nuttiness. There are sea salt notes and this would towards Scapa, a very underrated distillery. it could be HP but I doubt it (not an expert). Buy it, but leave some for me as I will be buying again.

Dear Chris,

Thank you for your review of our Orkney malt. I'm really pleased you are enjoying it. You might also like to try our Cask Orkney 18 Year old, although not cask strength, it is a really delicious dram.
