About Our Shop
In 1868, our founder Andrew Dewar Rattray opened his independent grocers and spirits merchants in Glasgow. He soon established himself as a specialist in the field of blending and storage of malt and grain whiskies - and so began the story of A. D. Rattray.
Following our roots as a spirit merchant, we opened our Whisky Shop in Ayrshire in 2011. Here you can discover our own award-winning whiskies alongside a fine selection of gins, rums and other spirits from across Scotland. Every product has a story to tell and we are passionate about delivering the highest level of customer service.
Tasting Events
Visit our shop for one of our free tasting events. These informal events let you taste different whiskies (gins, rums & liqueurs) at our barrel top tasting area. These monthly events feature our own whiskies as well as guest brands hosted by their own ambassadors.

The company has passed down through generations of the Morrison family, a name that is steeped in whisky heritage.
