Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A small batch single malt Scotch whisky, Cask Islay epitomises the character of Islay. Lively enough to satisfy peat-lovers yet inviting enough to tempt others to enjoy their first delicious dram of an Islay malt. When poured, the golden glow of the spirit is a promise of the warmth to come and the perfectly balanced journey through juicy barley, citrus notes, burnt toffee and rich peat smoke. Matured in bourbon casks. 

Tasting Notes

Colour: Lemon gold.
Nose: Smoke, grilled lemon scallops and beach bonfire embers.
Palate: Butter tablet, roasted peanut and sweet, salty peat..
Finish: Light ash and pipe tobacco leave a lasting impression.

Sweet smoke, lemon and salted nuts.

    Click & Collect - Orders can be collected from our shop in Kirkoswald, Monday - Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Your order will usually be ready within 24 - 48hrs but please wait until we confirm your order is ready before visiting.

    EU Delivery - we are not currently able to send to Europe.

    Mainland Scotland, England and Wales - order by 12 noon on Monday 19th December

    Highlands, Islands & Northern Ireland - order by 12 noon on Thursday 15th December

    Please remember that our delivery times are an estimate and our couriers can take 2-3 working days to deliver. We do not offer a guaranteed delivery service but will always do everything we can to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

    Orders placed after these dates will be dispatched on our return on Wednesday 11th January.

    Orders for Collection must be collected from our shop by 4pm on Saturday 24th December.

    Best IB Out There!!!

    Once again A.D Rattray have blown me away. The flavour and complexity of this whisky for the price is unrivaled. I don't know how they do it, but please don't stop!

    I really enjoyed the bourbon edition and was saddened, but not at all surprised, to find it was all sold out. I thought this would be a worthy substitute but it is such a different beast and deserves all the recognition it receives.

    I am one very happy customer!

    Great shop with some really interesting bottlings. The Cask Islay is a bargain and a nice hit of peat. Friendly staff and a fast delivery service.

    Excellent Islay Whisky

    Finally got round to tasting this ( big collection !). The tasting notes are pretty accurate. It is everything you would expect from an Islay whisky and at 46%, natural colour and non chill filtered it is excellent value for money. Would definitely buy another bottle.
